why are some people so oblivious to why people use drugs. i’m starting to think most people believe the only effects of certain drugs are relieving you of peer pressure. each drug has a desirable effect, and usually people who use have a reason.

where is the sympathy for the guy who doesn’t want to live anymore, yet he is too afraid to kill himself so he shoots up and kills the pain for a while. you don’t get it cause you don’t understand it!

i have a problem with users that have families, or deal, or leave their homes when they are high. but if someguy gets backed into a corner, and he understands his perdicament all to well, is it wrong to grant him the same peace most of us have?

So my good friends are turning out to not be so good. Now that we’re almost in high school, they are getting into alcohol, drugs, and one is actually having sex – at 13! I know NOT to do any of that, but I don’t know how to break it off with them. I really have a special bond with them, but i don’t want to fall into peer pressure by the things they are doing. The other problem is that i really don’t have other people at my school that i actually want as a best friend or a close friend. HELP.

Beating the War on drugs by conquering demand first?

If we conquer the demand of drugs first with education and treatment of the incarcerated (Assume all that are treated never go back to drugs), don’t you think that it would eventually make the whole or majority of the drug ring fall?

I’ve never done any of the above.. mainly because I avoid people so much that I’ve never really been victim to peer pressure, but I’m only curious.. Why is it they always want me to do so? Why is that lifestyle so highly regarded? I’ve seen so many people fall down a flight of stairs drunk, run into walls, get into brawls, throw up in their bunks… Doesn’t look fun in the least. Funny… not fun.
